If you have a damaged computer or laptop screen, connecting your computer to an external monitor can solve the problem. Connecting the two is as simple as plugging in a cable and pressing a couple of computer keys.
Samsung makes many models of monitors that can be hooked up to most computers, so you should have no problem doing so. To properly connect the two, you will have to determine what connection hookups your computer and monitor support. Almost all computers and monitors support an "S-Video" connection, so an S-Video cable is usually a safe bet. Check what hookup connections your computer and your Samsung monitor support. Most computers will have a port for an S-Video cable, so this is one of the most common ways to connect your computer to your monitor.
Buy the appropriate cables. An S-Video cable will be the cheapest.

Honestly repairs would be recommended. View solution in original post. I have had my monitor one year and am having the exact same issue. It periodically within the first six months started blacking out on and off. Now it won't display anything at all. I unplugged it for a night, but it is just black and won't display anything. Just started to have this problem with mine as well. I plugged it in and the screen lit up in the top left like usual and I turned around to plug the hdmi in for my xbox one and it went all black with no bottom right hand side light by the time I turned around.
Almost a year old and this is the first time I've had this problem. I have tried the unplugging and replugging back in with no avail.Hinges adelaide
Same as with replugging in somewhere else, I get the same result. Sometimes these monitors experience a grounding issue when the display cable is removed suddenly. If it is disconnected from power for about 24 hours all the capacitors drain and the BIOS for lack of a better term on the motherboard of the monitor resets when you plug it back in, so it is broken for a day or so, and then seems to magically work!
If it happens repeatedly it will require physical repair, but if its only a time or two you might be ok. Sign In. Turn on suggestions. Auto-suggest helps you quickly narrow down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type.

When I eventually returned the tower to the room a few days later, the monitor would not turn on. The blue light was on and not flashing according to the manual the blue light being on indicates the monitor was off and no matter what I did it would not turn on, so I gave up and assumed something went bad. And it worked perfectly until Last Friday I once again was in a situation where I had no choice but to move my tower to another room.
With the monitor off, I disconnected the tower and moved the computer. Several hours later, I returned the tower and attempted to reconnect the monitor Same situation, when the monitor has power the blue light is on but neither connecting a source or pushing the jog button has any effect whatsoever.
So in summary, monitor works fine until it is turned off either by me or by inactivity, which is what I assume happend the first time. Once it is off it will not turn on at all, the screen remains black and the blue light solid. Go to Solution. Honestly repairs would be recommended.Csgo craft
